Thanks to NaNoWriMo for the push.

And a week-long Thanksgiving break for the time to think about my story.

A few days ago, I was not even at the halfway point of the traditional NaNoWriMo goal to write 50,000 words of a novel in 30 days.

But suddenly, ideas for the story started coming to me, mainly because I had a few days off to think about the story at length and in depth.

When I managed a 10K day on Sunday, November 28th, I thought to myself:

If I can manage two more days like this, I’ll hit the mark.

So I just kept on writing.

And here it is!

A fancy little NaNoWriMo certificate:

A badge (above) …

… and the path I took (clearly not the ideal route of 1,666 words per day for 30 days)

I didn’t start writing at all until well after midway through the month.
